Make a Difference: Support the Children's Hospital

Come interact with other readers of this blog and help The Children's Hospital at the same time!

BlogFrog is sponsoring the "Give the Gift of Community" challenge to its members to inspire blog readers to connect with their peers in communities this holiday season.

If this blog gets 20 new participants to start or reply to a community discussion, BlogFrog will donate $10 to The Children's Hospital, one of the top 10 hospitals in the country for kids and teens. Don't be shy, hop on over to our community and meet your fellow readers - and don't forget to spread the word!

Happy Holidays!

Feed the Hungry from your Blogger Blog

Check out the great new addition to my sidebar from SocialVibe. You can have one too if you blog with Blogger!

How do I get one? I hear you ask . . .

It couldn't be easier (the hardest thing is choosing which great charity to support!). All you need to do is:

  1. From your Blogger dashboard, click the Layout tab. Then, click the Add a Gadget link. Next, click Add your own. In the textfield, add the URL http://www.socialvibe.com/s/blogger/gadget
  2. Choose the Cause you want to support from the drop-down list. If you want to customize the size and title, here is where you can do that. You'll see a preview of your badge underneath. When you're satisfied, click Save.
When you've got your widget installed come back here and add your blog to the comments so we all know where to go to make a difference!

Oh, and while you're here, don't forget to click on my SocialVibe widget to help end world hunger!

FundraisingIP.com has compiled a list of the 15 most popular online fundraising applications. Well worth a look if you are planning an online campaign.

"Which one is the right one for you? First, make a list of what kind of services you need: online payments and tracking, online auctions, volunteer management, marketing, e-mail campaigns, website design and hosting? Anything else?

Then - remember that each of these services is in business to make money from the groups that sign up with them - compare services and fees of three to five of the fundraising services listed. Fees to consider are one-time setup fees, any monthly fees and per transaction fees. Some fees might be higher or lower depending on how much you collect in donation dollars.

Each of the websites below provides a variety of services, some which might be useful for your group, some won’t. Be sure you don’t pay for services you don’t need and that the customer support offered is sufficient for you. Of course, make sure the website itself appeals to you and is easy to use!"
